Place the stones in warm (not boiling) water for a few minutes and pat them dry. Always test the temperature on your forearm first — pleasantly warm is exactly right.

Do not place the stones on skin with reduced sensation, on open wounds, varicose veins, inflammation or bruises, and don't fall asleep with the stones on your body.
